MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is an open protocol created by Anthropic. It connects an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT directly to your shop, so it can look at your real data and act on it, instead of just answering general questions.
What MCP is, in practice
Think of a universal plug that lets you connect any AI assistant to any tool, with no custom development. That's MCP's job.
It works in two parts. On one side, the AI assistant (Claude or ChatGPT, for example). On the other, an MCP server, WiziShop's, which exposes your shop's features: your products, your orders, your statistics, your marketing. When you chat with the assistant, it can go through this server to fetch information from your shop or carry out an action for you.
Why it's different from a regular chatbot
A regular chatbot answers with what it learned during training. It can't see your shop, doesn't know today's sales and can't change anything on your side.
With MCP, the assistant reads your live data and acts in your tools: create, edit, publish. You go from an advisor to an assistant that actually does the task.
MCP and your shop
Once connected to your shop through the WiziShop MCP server, your assistant can work on several fronts:
Your SEO
It analyzes the search ranking of a page, a product listing, a category and so on. It updates a title or a meta description to improve its position.
Your design
It creates your home page, your brand guidelines, your logo, your images and more. It customizes your shop's CSS and HTML as a draft, and you publish once you've approved the result.
Your products
It creates or edits a listing, manages a price or a stock level, and imports a listing from a supplier URL.
Your orders
It lists the ones to ship, checks the details of an order, moves a status from "being prepared" [à vérifier] to "shipped" [à vérifier], and retrieves an invoice.
Your statistics
It pulls today's revenue, your best sellers, your stock alerts and your abandoned carts.
Your marketing
It analyzes a newsletter campaign and activates an automated follow-up scenario.
Your promo codes
It creates one, turns it on, turns it off.

These uses are only a sample. Once your assistant is connected, it can go further with dedicated skills: redesigning your shop, watching your competitors' prices, generating visuals. It stays available for all your future requests, with nothing to reconfigure.
