This tool groups all your store's traffic statistics into different sections.
To access it, go to Orders > Visit Statistics for the WiziShop solution and Settings (Cogwheel) > Visit Statistics for the Evolup solution.
Available statistics data
You can start selecting the desired analysis period for your statistics from the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the section.
You have 4 choices :
- Live (last 30 minutes)
- Yesterday
- Last 30 days
- Custom dates (dates to be selected manually)
Once you've selected a period, you can view all your statistics in different sections.
"Unique visitors and page views" section
This two-tab graph gives you an overview of the number of "unique visitors" to your store, as well as the number of "page views" over the given period.
"Geographic data" section
On the "General" tab, you get a world map view with the number of visitors by country. By moving over to the "Country" tab, you can find a list of countries and the number of visitors per country.
"Traffic sources" section
The "Origin" tab lets you see the source of your traffic and the number of visitors.
If you have ongoing acquisition campaigns, the "Campaigns" tab will enable you to quantify the source and number of visitors generated by these campaigns.
"Page views" section
This section lists all the URLs visited on your store, as well as the number of views for each of these pages, in descending order.
The source represented by the / character is the URL of your home page.
"Device" section
This section provides essential information on the number of visitors by device type, browser and operating system:
- The "Device" used (Desktop, Smartphone, Tablet, etc.)
- The "Browser" used (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- The "OS" or operating system used (Windows, Android, iOS, Mac, etc.)
"Conversion rate" section
This last section summarizes 2 key pieces of information about your conversion statistics:
- "Checkout started" indicates the number of visitors who have started the checkout. These visitors initiated the payment process of their orders.
- "Orders completed" indicates the number of visitors who have finalized payment and thus completed their order.
This section is only available for the WiziShop solution. As checkouts and orders are not available on Evolup, you won't see the conversion rates.
Why is there a difference between our tool and Google Analytics?
It is important to note that there is a difference between the statistics reported by our tool and those reported by Google Analytics, for several reasons.
Logs, Cookies and RGPD
Our tool enables you to obtain all the statistics on visits to your store, whether the visitor accepts your cookies or not. In fact, our feature works by recording logs, which does not require consent under the RGPD.
Google Analytics only tracks the visit statistics of people who have accepted your cookies.
This means that there will always be a difference between your statistics on our solution and those of Google Analytics. This difference averages 30%, but can vary depending on the type of customer you have.
Crawling robots
As our statistics work on the basis of log records, this means that all logs are taken into account, anonymously. It is therefore possible that robot-generated traffic may be recorded in your statistics. Thus, the passage of a robot through your store can be recorded as a visit. Search engines are able to identify and exclude their own robots from their statistics. To date, our tool has not yet been able to make this distinction.
☝️ Good to know
