One of the first questions to ask yourself when you start an e-commerce business is: who will manage the shipment of my parcels?
- If you have stock, at home or in a warehouse, and you want to manage the shipments yourself, your website will then be a traditional e-commerce store. Once your customer has placed their order, the parcel will be shipped directly to their home, without any intermediary.
- If you don’t have any stock and don't want to spend time or money managing your shipments, it’s best to turn to dropshipping. When your customer places their order on your store, all you have to do is forward the order to your supplier, who will deal with preparing the parcel and sending it to your customer.
