As a first step, you will need to add and configure your payment method. (see tutorial: How do I add a payment method?)
Once your payment method has been added and configured, from the Configuration > Manage my payment options, you will have to test your payment method.
How do I test my payment option?
When you set up a payment module, it will automatically go into "test" so that you can test it.
To test your payment module, you will simply have to simulate an order until the confirmation of the order to be redirected to the payment page.
If this payment page works and is displayed correctly, it means that your payment module is set up correctly and you can change your module to the "Active" status.
📢 If you complete your test order, adding your banking information and paying for your order, remember to cancel it the same day, switching it to "canceled" status.
How do I switch to the "Active" status?
Once you have made sure that your payment method is working properly, you will need to switch it to "active", so that your customers can see and use it.
To do this, go to Configuration > Manage my payment options, and edit the desired payment option.
You are in the edit payment method area.
- Click on the "under test" status
- Click "active" in the drop-down menu.
- Click "Save".
Your payment method is now active 💸
